Les Baux:76cm wide x 122cm tall , miixed media on canvas
large product photo

Les Baux is a castle in Southern France where the most beautiful Woman lives. She moves in and out of the castle walls watching us, caring for us and listening to us. She has lived there for thousands of years. She carries always with her a red sachet shaped like a seed pod full of colorful seed-like stones. These stones are used when telling stories and she has one for every story that she has heard. She was born there during the first Crusades. Her family was a pacifist one, from a matriarchal tribe of southern France, and sought out to live in harmony. But with the invasion of the Church on French pacifists, Les Baux had many kings for many a man took advantage of Les Baux's way of being. But with every new king that would come, a good man would leave the thrown. She educated them, loved them and gave them peace and knowledge from the time of Woman. If you go there today, sit in the sun on the balcony of Les Baux, and you can feel her listening to your thoughts and returning you with peace and maybe you will see her with one more seed stone in her red sachet.
